Day 1 - Paris

• Welcome of the Group by the FRANCE HERITAGE TRAVEL team at the Hotel
• Presentation of the program and questions/answers Group
• dinner at the Hotel

Day 2 - Paris

• Morning: Guided tour of the Impressionist collection at the Musée de l’Orangerie.
• Travel by coach to Montmartre.
• Lunch Place du Tertre.
• Afternoon: guided walking tour of Montmartre followed by a return by coach via places painted by the Impressionists such as Clichy and Pigalle.
• Evening: Welcome dinner.

Day 3 - Paris

 

• Morning: Guided bus tour of the Seine Valley near Paris which inspired the Impressionists: Louveciennes, Bougival, Croissy, Chatou and Argenteuil.
• Lunch: Group meal at Renoir’s favorite bistro, Restaurant La Fournaise.
• Evening: Free

Day 4 - Paris

 

• Guided bus tour of the Forest of Fontainebleau and discovery of several mythical places of pre-Impressionist painting in France (Barbizon, Chailly, Moret sur Loing).
• Lunch in an inn overlooking the Loing
• Evening: Free

Day 5 - Paris

 

• Morning: Guided tour of the Marmottan Museum – Claude Monet Free lunch
• Afternoon: Guided tour of the Oise Valley via Pontoise followed by a visit to the Pissar Museum and Auvers-sur-Oise ((Van Gogh, Pissarro, Daubigny).
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 6 - Paris

 

• Morning: Guided tour of the Musée d’Orsay with a professional guide.
• Rest of the day free.

Day 7 - From Paris to Rouen (5 nights)

 

• Morning: Depart for Rouen for a guided coach tour through the Seine Valley and Normandy via Giverny to visit Monet’s famous garden and its water lilies.
• Visit to the Museum of American Impressionism.
• Free lunch
• Afternoon: Departure for Vernon, stopping at the spectacular town of Les Andelys.
• Evening: Installation at the Hôtel de Rouen

Day 8 - Rouen

 

• Morning: Guided tour of Rouen Cathedral, the old town in the footsteps of Monet Free lunch
• Afternoon: and the Museum of Fine Arts.
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 9 - Rouen

 

• Morning: Day in Honfleur with a guided tour of the old town and the port evoking the memories of Boudin, Monet, Jonkind, Sisley, Pissarro and many others, then visit the Eugène Boudin Museum.
• Gourmet lunch to discover Norman gastronomy.
• Evening: Free

Day 10 - Rouen

 

• Morning: Guided tour by bus along the “floral coast” to discover the towns of Trouville, Deauville which were the inspiration for many famous Impressionist works.
• Free afternoon giving you time to discover the Historial of Joan of Arc.
• Evening: Group dinner followed by an exceptional show where the Notre Dame de Rouen cathedral will put on its costume of light! (show only in summer)

Day 11 - Rouen

 

• Morning: Cross the Pont de Normandie to Le Havre for a guided tour of the André Malraux Museum with one of the largest collections of French Impressionist works outside of Paris (more than 200 works by Boudin).
• Free lunch
• Afternoon: Bus tour along the coast to Étretat, Fécamp, Pourville.
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 12 - From Rouen to Aix-en-Provence (4 nights)

 

• Morning: Transfer from the hotel to the train station. TGV from Rouen to Avignon. Transfer by coach to your hotel in Aix-en-Provence.
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 13 - Aix-en-Provence

 

• Cézanne day on a guided tour in and around Aix-en-Provence.
• Morning: Discovery of the works of Cézanne.
• Afternoon: Visit of the Granet Museum followed by a coach tour around the Montagne Sainte Victoire.
• Evening: Gourmet dinner to discover Provençal gastronomy

Day 14 - Aix-en-Provence

 

• Van Gogh Day
• Morning: Guided tour of the city of Arles and its surroundings
• Free lunch
• Afternoon: Visit of Alyscamps, les Baux, St Rémy de Provence
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 15 - Aix-en-Provence

 

• Morning: Guided tour of Cézanne’s studio and “La Maison du jas”, Cézanne’s family home and source of inspiration for over 40 years.
• Rest of the day free.
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 16 - De Aix-en-Provence à Nice (4 nuits)

 

• Depart by coach through Provence to the French Riviera for lunch in Antibes which inspired a series of works by Monet.
• Free lunch
• Afternoon: Guided tour of the Grimaldi Museum (Picasso Museum) Installation in your hotel in Nice
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 17 - Nice

• Day dedicated to Auguste Renoir.
• Visit of Cagnes-sur-Mer, les Collettes (Renoir’s house). Group lunch in Menton
• Return to Nice via the superb town of Eze.
• Evening: Free

Day 18 - Nice

• Morning: Visit of the Cheret Museum.
• Free lunch Visit of the old town and the Promenade des Anglais.
• Rest of the day free with choice of visits: Marc Chagall Museum, Matisse Museum…
• Evening: Group dinner

Day 19 - Nice

• Morning: Discovery of
• Monaco-Monte-Carlo.
• Afternoon: Guided tour of Monaco then visit to the Casino.
• Evening: Farewell dinner.

Day 20 - Nice

• Transfer to Nice airport.
