Day 1 – From Paris to Rennes
- Morning : DTGV to Rennes. Coach transfer to Rennes youth Hostel.
Guided visit of the historical centre of Rennes. - Afternoon: Visit of the Musée de Bretagne (from Prehistory to the present day) and of the Cathedral St Pierre one of the 9 historic cathedrals in Brittany.
Dinner and night in hostel.
Day 2 - Forest of Brocéliande (meant to be one of the birth places of the Arthurian legends).
Morning : Guided visit of the Forest of Brocéliande linking the beauty of the forest, the magic of the Arthurian legends, and the Tree – the symbol of Celtic culture.
Afternoon : Visit of 13th century Paimpont Abbey in the centre of the Forest.
Dinner and night in hostel.
Day 3 - Saint-Malo
The most historically interesting and beautiful town and harbour on the northern shores of Brittany.
Morning : Guided visit of the centre of the town famous for its pirates and for Vauban’s 17th century fortifications.
Afternoon : Free to visit the fortifications.
Dinner and night in hostel.
Day 4 - Vannes and Carnac (south of Brittany)
Morning : Leave the hostel with luggage for Carnac, one of the most Important megalithic sites (4000 standing menhirs) dating back to 4500 BC.
Afternoon : Visit of Carnac. Then to settle in your youth hostel in Vannes.
Dinner and night in your hostel.
Day 5 - The Gulf of the Morbihan
Morning : Guided visit of the remarkable megalithic site of Locmariaquer (Dolmens, tombs etc..) an old village keeping watch on the entrance of the gulf and enjoying a remarkable view over the whole gulf.
Afternoon : Boat cruise across the delightful gulf of the Morbihan to Vannes.
Dinner and night in hostel.
Day 6 - Vannes and return to Paris or Roissy-CDG airport
Morning : Guided visit of Vannes, a very beautiful and historically interesting town.
Afternoon : Return to Paris or Roissy-CDG Airport by TGV.
